Linda Bramble is a wine writer, educator and broadcaster. She has taught classes in professional development for the Ontario wine and hospitality industry, as well as beginning and advanced courses in Wine Appreciation at Brock University where she was on the faculty. She is a certified sommelier and has hosted a weekly wine and food show, Cheers Niagara, on 1220 AM CHSC.

Linda is also the author of several books on wine, wine and food, wine touring and the history of the Ontario wine industry. Her latest book is "Niagara's Wine Visionaries," (Lorimer, 2009) for which she won the Wine Journalist of the Year.

She contributes to several publications on wine travel pieces such as "Taste and Travel" plus has contributed to professional publications such as "Winery and Vineyard Management." She has two regular columns that appear in "Niagara Magazine," and "Interiors."

Current wine related activities

Linda is the Canadian Contributor (except BC) to the Oxford Companion to the Wines of North America and has written for several web sites, including that of the Canadian Vintner Association. In 2001 Linda was awarded the Grape and Wine Festival Citizen of the year; in 2002 she was given the industry recognition award for the Celebration of Excellence of Women in Gastronomy; and in 2003 she was inducted into the Ducata dei Vini del Friulani, an Italian organization dedicated to the wines and foods of Friuli. In 2002 she was inducted into the Ontario Hostelry Institute, in 2008 she was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award for her contributions to the Ontario wine industry and in 2010 she received the Wine Educator of the Year Award from the Ontario Hostelery Institute.
